For lovers of life & flavour

Terni and our territory

We in the Coppini family are like that: determined, strong, and persistent. Just like our oil, that reflects the essence of Umbiria/Italy and all the passion born of three generations of experience. An essence that, day after day, evolves and improves to meet the tastes of those who love innovation but still feel a strong and unbreakable bond with tradition.

The Marmore Falls are one of the best known and oldest symbols of the city of Terni, together with its patron saint, St Valentine.
at 165 metres high, they are the highest waterfall in Europe.

Near the Terni town of Marmore, the Velino river plunges into the gorge of the Nera river below, forming the wonder-full waterfall. It was conceived by the Romans, who thought of connecting the Velino river of the Rieti town with the Nera river of the Interamna valley, now Terni with the Nera river of the Interamna valley, now Terni. The current Terni area of the Valnerina is known not only for hosting the waterfall, but also for its olive-growing hills and production of extra virgin olive oil.

Terni, a province in southern Umbria, is also known as the City of Love, in honor of the patron saint Valentine, who was bishop of the city and whose remains are preserved to this day in the St.Valentino basilica Church.
Terni owes its name to Interamna: the city that arose between the Nera River and the Serra stream.

Terni's origins are ancient, dating back to the Neolithic, but it is in the Roman period that Terni saw the building of temples, a theater, two baths and a Roman amphitheater. Having become an important industrial hub in the twentieth century, Terni was subjected to 108 bombings in 1943, which destroyed much of its history. But not its green and peaceful territory, among rivers and olive-grown Hills.
